Hi everyone!

I just wanted to say "thank you" to you all for the really beautiful flowers - they are now on the dining table here at home, and they look fantastic! I'd also like to say thank you for being such a great class - I've enjoyed being with you very much - and I'm going to miss you!

I hope that you'll all keep in touch, with me and with each other, on the blog site.
Have a good holiday!

Hi everyone!
This will be the very last time we get to use the site together in class, so -
Here's your task for today!
Write about what happened on your excursion yesterday - you can write about whatever you like.
It can be serious - or funny. It can be about you - or about someone else on the trip.
Try to describe what happened really carefully. (Remember that I wasn't there, so I didn't see Jennie getting the bus stuck in the mud - or Danny falling in the river - or Karima getting left behind...........)
Don't publish it until everyone has finished!

Hi Van!
It's good to see you on the blog!

I heard the news you talked about, too. Did anyone else? I felt uncomfortable, too, but I think we must be very careful about judging the customs of other countries and other religions. Sometimes the things that seem uncomfortable to some of us are seen to be the right thing by other people. Has anyone else got any views on this?

Hi everyone!

I can't believe that we are back to Wednesday again - already! Selahattin, I'm sorry that no-one ever seems to log on when you do - we'll fix up something next lesson. I hope that you all had a good long weekend - I missed seeing you on Monday!

We're almost at the end of the course - it doesn't seem possible. See you tomorow!

Hi everyone!

And hi Selahatin - I think you'll have to tell people when you're going to log in and arrange to meet them. Good to hear you. Apologies to you all because I am not going to be there tomorrow, Friday - I'm going to the dentist to get my (very sore) tooth fixed. Shane and Kirsten are going to finish your resumes with you - we hope that you've all got your disks. Don't forget there's no class on Monday, so have a good Queen's Birthday weekend. I'll see you on Wednesday - but maybe I'll see some of you on the blog before then.

Hi everyone!
Welcome back!
If there aren't any more jokes, we'll have to award joint prizes to Danny and Karima, I think - I liked both their jokes! Today, I thought I'd spend some time with each of you showing you how to link if you're stuck. And I have just read all your narrative assessment tasks - and they are really very good. Well done!

Today's new task: write a description of someone in the room - don't say who it is; just post it and we'll see if we can guess! You will need to add a number, and try to avoid saying "he" or "she." Here's my entry:
1.This person is tall, has dark hair and is wearing a blue T shirt. Who is it?

Hi everyone!
Well, Selahattin and Danny have certainly worked out how to link, and Karima, so have you. Look carefully at your spelling - that's what is making things difficult for you. Danny, I don't know why Karima calls me "Janny" - but I'm getting to quite like it! It's not as boring as "Jane!" And, Danny, you've got half the joke: you need your dictionary to check the meanings of one word in the joke! (hint - it can be a noun or a verb. Now can you work out how to write parts of your messages in bold?
See you soon - for your assessment!
